Well, January felt both like the month that would never end and the month that went by way too fast. In any case, there's been some exciting recent Adam happenings beyond his January concerts, the most thrilling of which is that he will, again, be participating in a concert staging of the Broadway musical, Chess. This time, however, it will be happening overseas at London's famed Royal Albert Hall on May 12 and 13th at 8PM. Adam will join his previous Chess co-star, Josh Groban, along with the incomparable Idina Menzel and British actress, Kerry Ellis. More information on the event can be found at Playbill.com.In other news, I've added a little more information about Adam's show at Shippensburg University and Fitchburg State and three new shows: one at Trinity University in San Antonio and the two at Feinstein's at Loews Regency in New York. All the new information can be accessed via the sidebar, and a big thanks to Adam's Official Site for letting us know about the three new shows. |

New Years' Day has come and gone and I've made a few resolutions to get me through 2008. The first of which is balancing school, friends, family, and this site a little better than I have for the past few months. I am so sorry if I've left anyone hanging with this site, not knowing if I'd ever be back. Thank goodness for Adam's new official site for keeping everyone up-to-date, since I sure haven't.But like I said, that's all going to change, starting now. And to ring in this new resolution, I've posted some new tour dates that Debbie from LarryEdoff.com was kind enough to send to me. I realize that these dates are already on Larry and Adam's individual sites, but the more the merrier right? There hasn't been any more information released except the dates and the venues for the shows, but details will be posted as soon as they become available. Adam has also posted the following tidbit about his January 11th show on his website: As all of you already know, my son Lennon has food allergies and my wife, Cybele is very proactive in raising awareness. On January 11th, at The Landmark on Main Street show I am doing something a bit different. There will be a table with some autographed cd's, autographed photos and a few autographed posters from the evening. There will also be a dessert meet and greet reception after the show. The dessert reception will be for the first 10 people who donate $75.00. This entitles you and one guest for a meet and greet with me after the show. All donations support FAAN and Landmark on Main Street. So that's pretty darn exciting! Hope some of you can participate in this fantastic opportunity. In other Adam news, as you may have already seen on his site, he will be appearing on Nickelodeon's The Backyardigans. If you're not familiar with the show - and I am only because of my nieces and newphews - this animated show is about a group of preschool animals that get into all sorts of adventures, all the while singing and dancing. Sounds perfect for Adam, doesn't it?In addition, will be starring in Alive in the World, a new musical concert by Paul Scott Goodman taking place at The Zipper Factory in New York City on January 13th and 14th at 7 PM. The concert will benefit the Twin Towers Orphan Fund and he'll be joined by a fantastic cast including Melissa Errico, Lea Michele, Daniel Reichard, Greg Naughton and Toby Lightman.Tickets can be purchased by calling 212.352.3101 or by visiting The Zipper Factory's Website. VIP Section tickets will run you $250, Premium Seating is $150, Side Sections are $100, and Balcony is $65. If anyone goes to this event, please let us know how it was in the comments section or by emailing me at webmaster@adam-pascal.com. Finally, there have been some more HQ photos added to the gallery, courtesy of our mysterious and highly generous friend. So please check them out! |

I just wanted to drop all of you a note to say that I feel terrible about not updating in such a long time. I thought that school was going to get a bit better after my last update on Adam's birthday, but it's just been another test after another project after another test.
What I really want all of you to know is that I'm still dedicated to this site and I will be updating soon and that I would have done so sooner if life wasn't so hectic at the moment.
You've all been incredibly patient with me and I want to thank you for your loyalty to this site. I promise that I'll reward you soon. :)

I know that it's a bit late, but I thought I would post this nonetheless:
Look for a massive update coming to you soon. After four consecutive weeks of midterms, this site deserves some of my time. |

So, there's been a few rumours going around about a possible documentary about Adam being shot for Fuse on Demand, and while it is true that there is a special being filmed, the Fuse part is not yet concrete. Essententially what the producer wanted me to tell all of you is that at the moment they are shooting an independent television program about Adam and his fans and have been met with great enthusiasm and awesome energy from lots of Adam's amazing fans.
They will be filming more towards the end of the week and at Adam and Larry's upcoming shows, so keep it up! And please check back for progress reports on this exciting new development.
As a side note, they are also looking for stagedoor pictures from any fans who wouldn't mind their photos being in the special. You can email them at AdamFans@aol.com.As for the second part of this post's title, I know that it looks like I haven't been updating much, stemming from the lack of news on this front page, but I swear that I have! Most importantly, Adam has added another date to his "Me and Larry" tour, which will be taking place on January 12th at the Emelin Theatre in Mamaroneck, New York. Thanks to Susan for letting me know about this exciting new date!
Also, a kindly Adam fan has donated her vast HQ collection to our little site, allowing me to post un-tagged versions of photos already in the gallery, so a big shout out to her (on her birthday no less!). I'll be adding more and more as the week progresses, so please check the gallery for periodic updates!

Noelle and Lexi are just about the best people ever because they were kind enough to let me know that Adam will be visiting Port Washington, New York and New Haven, Connecticut with his "Me and Larry" tour early in the new year. The concert in Port Washington will be taking place in the Jeanne Rimsky Theater at Landmark on Main Street on January 11th at 8 PM, while the New Haven concert will see Adam and Larry performing at the Shubert Theater on January 19th, also at 8 PM. As per usual, more details can be found on the Winter 2008 Tour Page.
As for the next piece of business, Monica was nice enough to email me a few of her fantastic stage door photos from RENT's August 8th show, so please check them out!

Hey all! So, I know that's bit a while since I updated and I feel terrible about this, but I've got a good reason this time! I was in New York seeing Adam, live and in-person, at the Nederlander! And all I can say is that my trip to New York was amazing. I've never been really good at reviews, so I'll spare you the running commentary that I had going on in my head while I was watching Adam and Anthony strut their stuff on-stage. But, suffice to say, Adam was absolutely amazing. I mean, we all know how great he sounds on Model Prisoner, Civilian, and the RENT and Aida OCBRs, but experiencing his voice live is a whole other story. I know I should try, but I just can't express how wonderful it is. It is beyond words, beyond explanation, really. You really must hear it in person to appreciate it's true beauty.
I was actually lucky enough to see RENT twice during the short time I was in the city, on the 16th and the 18th, and he was phenomenal both times, although rumour has it that the poor guy was getting over a bad cold during that week. Nevertheless, he was so beyond anything that I could have ever expected that I hardly even noticed his apparent illness. His portrayal of Roger was so perfect, so on-point, that you really understand why he received so many accolades in 1996 when the musical first opened. And while I already thought that he was great in the RENT movie, seeing him on Broadway brought my admiration of his talents to a whole new level.
Not only was his voice out of this world, but his acting was also exceptional; he really sold the character. I've always envisioned Roger as someone who's holding on by a very thin thread, unpredictable and on the verge of either retreating from the world completely or waging war against it for the injustices bestowed on him, and Adam played this to a tee. He showed such a wide range of emotions that I couldn't tell what he was going to do next, especially during "Goodbye Love." For the better part of that song, Adam exuded real anger and frustration as Roger while confronting Mimi and Mark, but right at the end, right when he says, "I'll call; I hate the fall," you can see his face and expression change, almost on a dime, evoking a sense of remorse and sadness. And there were countless other examples of his sensational acting ability during the show, but this one stood out the most in my mind. Needless to say, if you have the chance, please go and see him in RENT. It really is a life-changing experience.
Alas, I did not get to meet Adam at the stagedoor on this trip, what with the absolute insanity that is the Nederlander, post-show, these days (and the fact that the police called the whole thing off and dispersed the crowd before I could get my chance), but better luck next time, eh? However, the good news is that I did get a few photos in before cops shut down the stagedoor madness, so without futher ado, please follow the four Adams to the gallery.

Also, I know that it's terribly anti-climatic since I've already changed the dates on the sidebar and I've announced it in this update's title, but due to the massive success of Adam and Anthony's return, the original boho boys are extending their run at RENT until October 7th! Apparently ticket sales are higher than they've been in a long while, Christmas to be exact according to Variety.com, and the Nederlander is playing host to more than 98% capacity. So, you all have a few more weeks to drop everything and jump on a plane to New York. (Just kidding!) Speaking of Adam stagedoor photos, I also have the distinct pleasure of adding Lisa, Nina, Lauren, and Tracy's photos along with my own to the gallery. Debbie from LarryEdoff.com was also kind enough to inform me of a few new tour dates that Adam and Larry will be embarking on this fall. The first stop on their tour is now on October 6th at the NACA Conference in Lancaster, PA, where they will be promoting the "Me and Larry" tour and upcoming CD. And I know what you're thinking: "Adam is extending his stay at RENT until the 7th, so how could he possibly attend this conference?" Well, according to Debbie, Adam will be missing the 2 PM matinee on October 6th to make it down to Pennsylvania, but that he should be back for the evening performance. But please don't take my word on that.
There are also two other stops that we didn't know about already, one in Columbus, OH and one in Charlotte, NC. I've gathered most of the important information for the Columbus show, but the one in Charlotte is still a mystery. So be sure to check the tour page for more information as it becomes available.A few more videos have also been added to the Media Collection. The first is a streaming video from Broadway.com, chock full of RENT return goodness and interviews from the August 2nd party at 44½ Restaurant. Next are three videos from the now defunct Adam Pascal Online that the wonderful Cassie has allowed me to post on her behalf, which can be found here. Cassie's videos are beyond perfection, so you must check them out.I've also added a few more articles chroncling Adam and Anthony's return to RENT: two reviews and one little short blurb, but I thought that you all would appreciate them. They can be found here, here, and here.
Last, but certainly not least, Adam will also be appearing at a benefit on August 30 at the new HK Lounge on the West Side of New York, but Playbill does a better job in explaining it than I do, so I'll let them have a crack at it. Thanks to Sandy for finding this little piece of - wait, I'm going to make a pun here - heaven.Pascal, Dandridge and James Will Help Launch Hall and McGill's HK Angels Live By Andrew GansA monthly cabaret benefiting Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS will be held the last Thursday of each month at the new West Side venue HK Lounge.
HK Angels Live!, which was created by RENT cast members Crystal Monee Hall and Moeisha McGill, will kick off Aug. 30.
In addition to Hall and McGill, the evening will also feature performances by Adam Pascal, Merle Dandridge and Marcus Paul James. The festivities will begin with cocktails at 9 PM followed by the midnight performance. Future evenings will feature "Crystal, Moeisha and their fabulous Broadway friends [singing] your favorite pop, rock and R&B songs with a few standards thrown in."
Audience appeals will be made throughout the evening with donation buckets passed through the crowds. Donations will benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. Visit broadwaycares.org for more information.
HK Lounge is located in Manhattan at Ninth Avenue and 39th Street. The evening is free and open to the public; attendees must be 21 years or older. |

As some of you might have already seen in the gallery, I've just added some fan-freaking-tastic high quality images of Adam and Anthony from the New York Post photoshoot, donated to the site by a kindly anonymous fan.

I've also posted some of the photos taken by Linda Lenzi for BroadwayWorld.com of a party held at 44½ Restaurant on August 2nd to celebrate Adam and Anthony's return.

I've also added another interesting interview with Adam to the Press Archive, which includes this gem of a statement: Was there ever a temptation to switch roles this time around? Pascal laughs: “Quite frankly, Anthony couldn’t sing my part.” Though he’s sure they’d both love the challenge, “I think people would freak out.”
Speaking of interesting press pieces about the return, Variety On the Town also posted a more Anthony-centric blurb about the boys' August 1st show.
Rapp Returns to RENT By G. Cox
Anthony Rapp and Adam Pascal couldn’t have asked for a better audience of Rentheads August 1st. The two thesps, who led the original 1996 cast of the long running Rialto production of RENT returned to the show last week joining an ensemble that already featured “American Idol” alum Tamyra Gray. A crowd of screaming RENT fans greeted them. Entrance applause was long and deafening, and at one point, when Pascal accidentally began singing the wrong verse, the entire audience laughed right along with him. “It feels like home,” Rapp said of the show at the post-performance party.Still, a few things had changed. Like their costumes: Most of the originals were too tattered to be salvaged. “I wear the same old coat,” Rapp said. “But new everything else.”
Last, but not least, BroadwayWorld.com has posted an amazing video chronicling Adam and Anthony's return, with clips from opening night and interviews with Adam, Anthony, Jesse L. Martin, Tamyra Gray (Mimi), and Merle Dandridge (Joanne) at the party on August 2nd to celebrate their return. It's definitely not to be missed and has made me even more excited to see the boys live!
