MOVIE SYNOPSIS
For Stevo, living in Reagan-era Salt Lake City, rebellion is an imperative. A recent grad, his world centers on anarchy, refusing the system, and the music of The Ramones, Dead Kennedys and The Specials. His ex-hippie father sees this lifestyle as an important rite of passage, yet urges Stevo to attend Harvard Law School, as he did. Not to sell out to the system, but to buy in. For Stevo, underneath the mohawk, earrings and leather, the idea, painfully, has some merit. The question becomes, how do you stay hard-core and still hope for a life beyond?

CHARACTER DESCRIPTION
Eddie wasn't an anarchist, he wasn't really even a punk. Eddie was into women. But not in a macho jerky kinda way, right, he was a true romantic. He had his ass beat several times for being gay, which, he was not. Imagine: fag bashing without all the benefits.

PRODUCTION TRIVIA
Matthew Lillard's character, Stevo was originally to have bleached blond hair. However, when getting the bleach job, the peroxide burned Lillard's scalp, leaving a hideous mess. Dying his hair blue was a way of hiding it.

When the boy flips off the camera in the mall and says "Anarchy in the UK!" the voice is actually the director James Merendino dubbing it over, because he felt that the boy didn't say it right.

The band that is known as ECP (Extreme Corporal Punishment), is actually the punk band 8 Bucks Experiment.
